On April 3, 2002, the Starz FilmCenter opened its doors for the first time as the year-round home of the Denver Film Society. The film that evening, Thirteen Conversations About One Thing, kicked off the screening of more than 5,000 films over the next ten years. At the start of last year’s festival, the DFS’s new year-round home, the Denver FilmCenter, was unveiled; this year, after the final day of SDFF34, the Starz FilmCenter will shutter for good. Join us for The Last Picture Show at the Starz Film Center and enjoy, once again, the premiere SFC film, Thirteen Conversations About One Thing—followed by a blowout farewell party.
