Primarily known for her roles in Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds and Marnie, Tippi Hedren is a true Hollywood legend. Hitchcock discovered her in a television commercial for Sego, a diet drink. She was the very essence of the sophisticated, self-assured, cool-blonde sex appeal that made many of Hitchcock’s leading ladies famous. Ms. Hedren has since appeared in nearly 50 films, and she makes cameo appearances in two new feature presentations during the festival—Free Samples and Jayne Mansfield’s Car. In addition, we are proud to present a special screening of the The Birds, where Ms. Hedren will be presented with the Mayor’s Award for Career Achievement. Join us in welcoming Tippi Hedren to the 35th Starz Denver Film Festival—it doesn’t get any better than this! Sponsored by:
