DENVER -- Oct. 7, 2008 -- The 31st Starz Denver Film Festival (SDFF) opened online press accreditation today. Applications are available at www.denverfilm.org/about/press and will be accepted until Oct. 29. Any media wishing to cover the 11-day event, held Nov. 13-23, 2008, must apply for accreditation.

The application process allows SDFF staff to provide media guests with the highest level of service before, during and following the festival. Credentialed media will be invited to official Festival press screenings and events, provided with advance screeners for preview coverage and be able to schedule interviews with Festival guests.

Accredited media will also receive a Festival Guest/Publicist Directory consisting of contact information for this year's film artists and guests.

Upon submission of your application, the Festival press office will acknowledge receipt and begin the review of your application.

The SDFF 2008 schedule will be announced online on Oct. 27 at www.denverfilm.org.

On Oct. 30, there will be a launch party at Sutra Dance Bar and Lounge, located at 1109 Lincoln St., at the corner of 11th Ave. and Lincoln St. in Denver. Media will be invited to a media-only open house before the event. More information will be announced closer to the date of the event.
