Young Filmmakers Workshop

Each summer the Denver Film Society provides a unique opportunity for aspiring filmmakers to immerse themselves in the world of moviemaking. Over the course of two weeks, participants learn not only how to watch and interpret film but also how to plan, write, shoot, and edit their own short works.

The 2012 program expanded to include 98 students and four workshops and a collaborative program¬—one for those just starting out, a masters class, an animation class, and new this year, an advanced masters class. A special collaborative documentary project with the Denver Museum of Nature and Science Summer Teen Science Scholars also took place.
