Denver Zoo: Wild Mongolia
50 Minute Running Time
One of the most stunning, untouched landscapes on Earth is found in the heartland of Asia: stretching from the impenetrable forests of Siberia in the North to the Chinese wall in the South and touching the horizon in the distance. Here, a huge variety of rare animal species are found under its deep blue sky. The Southwest of Mongolia is home to the Mongolian wild horse, the ancestor of our domestic horse as well as the Mongolian wild horse and Asiatic wild donkeys that live on these barren, arid steppes. In the interior of the Gobi desert, wild camels wander from oasis to oasis. From minus 40 degrees Celsius in freezing cold winter nights or +40 degrees on hot July days, these animals have adapted perfectly to the harsh circumstances. This film is a unique revelation of untouched nature and its amazing landscape in the heart of Asia.
