An actress (Emmanuèle Riva) making a film about peace in Hiroshima, has a brief but intense affair with a Japanese architect (Eiji Okada). The film is about history, memory, forgetting and love. Script by Marguerite Duras; filmed magnificently by Sacha Vierny and Michio Takahashi. 91 minutes. Shown in a beautiful 35mm print.
