Do The Monster Mash With Actor ANDRE GOWER In-Person!
Awhoooo! Actor Andre Gower (who played lead Squad member Sean) will be joining us at both showings of the film!

Archival 35mm presentation - Dracula, the Wolfman, Frankenstein, the Mummy and Gill Man descend on a tiny town in search of a diabolically powerful amulet. But only 12-year-old Sean (Andre Gower) and his gang of monster-obsessed misfits can save the day in this overlooked 1987 horror comedy.

About actor Andre Gower:
Entering Hollywood at age five, Andre spent 13 years being cast in one television, commercial, and movie role after another. His first movie roles were in 1979’s The Man in the Santa Claus Suit, a classic Christmastime television movie co-starring Fred Astaire, and Kiss My Grits, a 1982 comedy caper.
Andre went on to fill the role of Derek on Days of Our Lives in 1980 before portraying Brooks Prentiss on long-running soap opera The Young & the Restless 1981-1982. Next came a co-starring role in short-lived series Baby Makes Five, also starring Colleen Dewhurst and Peter Scolari of Bosom Buddies fame. It was during this time that Andre learned from Peter how to juggle, a skill Andre practices to this day.
Andre would eventually appear in over 100 commercials, television shows and movies. Andre also appeared in several movies with stars like Jane Seymour and Fred Astaire, and headlined his own movie, The Monster Squad (a cult classic that sells out at midnight showings); shortly thereafter he starred for two years in his own TV series (Mr. President) with legendary actors George C. Scott and Madeline Kahn.
From childhood to teen heartthrob, Andre was on every cover of the teen magazines and was a focal fixture on the teen star set. At 18, Andre made a tough decision: begin turning down work in Hollywood and pursue college and college basketball, a lifelong love. He was recruited by UNC-Asheville and played all four years, winning various titles while living a ‘normal’ life. After college Andre became a journalist/sportswriter. He splits his time between North Carolina, Las Vegas, and LA, traveling around the country frequently.
