An Afternoon with Jonathan Kesselman
120 Minute Running Time
Join us for an afternoon with Jonathan Kesselman, director of the cult comedy classic THE HEBREW HAMMER.
The Denver FilmCenter/Colfax will host a screening of several short works that were the results of collaborations with College of Arts & Media Assistant Professor David J. Bondelevitch, MPSE, CAS. Among the films shown will be ARTS & CRAFTS, which was recently selected to screen at the prestigious Vail Film Festival. The film was originally created for Will Ferrell’s comedy web site FUNNY OR DIE.
Other shorts shown at the Denver FilmCenter/Colfax will include another comedy created for FUNNY OR DIE, the short film ROASTED: UNDER THE INFLUENCE, as well as a short documentary about the only Yiddish-language newspaper published in the United States, LOOKING FORWARD.
The final film shown will be the first public presentation of a thirty-minute, never-before-seen new comedy special directed by Mr. Kesselman.
Director Jonathan Kesselman and Sound Designer David Bondelevitch will be present for a Q&A with the audience after the screening. Bondelevitch teaches in the Recording Arts program at the CU Denver College of Arts & Media. Bondelevitch was nominated this year for a Motion Picture Sound Editors Golden Reel award for his work on the documentary ABOVE THE ASHES.
