Colorado Cinema Salon: Hollywood's Last Golden Age
90 Minute Running Time
Sunday, August 26th at 2pm at the Denver FilmCenter
Salon curator and moderator Robert Denerstein and Ron Henderson, co-founder of the Denver Film Festival and its long-time director take a look back at the 1970s, regarded by many critics as a spectacularly fertile time for movies. Denerstein and Henderson each will show clips from some of their favorite American movies of the '70s and do some out-loud thinking about whether the '70s really were a landmark period for film. and, if so, were the promises of the '70s ever really fulfilled. As usual the conversation will be lively, the clips will be stimulating and no one wearing bellbottoms will be admitted.
