Germany, 1922, 81 Minute Running Time
Genre/Subject: Horror

Screens at 10:10pm Sat, Oct 6th

Widely considered to be the first vampire movie, NOSFERATU is the earliest surviving screen adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula novel. Originally released in 1922, NOSFERATU is an unparalleled psychic thriller with the iconic portrayal of Count Orlock by German actor Max Schreck. Director F.W. Murnau creates a menacing atmosphere with his use of negative images, odd angles, and ominous locales – uncommon in an era of large studio sets.

Bringing the film to a 21st century audience, Plastik Factory (Warren Jones and Jeremy Vanley), will perform an original score that delves deep into the film’s dark themes. Using dissonant loops, electronic soundscapes, combined with a woodwind and percussion performance, Plastik Factory will create a one-of-a-kind cinematic experience.

Founded by Jones and Vanley, Plastik Factory is an emerging Colorado artist collective. Along with live soundtrack performances, Plastik Factory attempts to carve out a creative space that combines film, music, fine art, and design. Most recently, they released their first LP, cinematheque, which includes several tracks inspired by their Nosferatu score. For more information, please visit their website at
