Architecture + Design Film Series 2013

Architecture + Design Film Series 2013

Celebrate the best in films on architecture and design at 14 screenings at the Sie FilmCenter, some of which will be followed by stimulating discussions with dynamic filmmakers, architects and design experts. Films will screen on Thursdays at 7 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 4:30 p.m., plus two special 10:00 p.m. Saturday screenings. Each Thursday evening screening will include a post-film reception hosted at unique venues around Denver. Eleven of the 14 screenings will be Colorado premieres – films that have never before been publicly shown in Colorado. Special guests currently slated to appear at select screenings include filmmaker Tim Cawley, advertising leaders Cathey McClain Finlon & Tom Leydon plus head of the Gehl Institute Jeff Risom and rock poster collectors David Tippett. Each week of the Series is curated to explore current topics in design: Urbanism—The Reboot, Women in Design, Legendary Design, and Media & Graphic Design (including a documentary and exhibition on American rock poster art).
