Denver Film Society Announces Dates For 6th Annual Women+Film Festival

February 5, 2016 (Denver, CO) -The Denver Film Society announced today the dates for the 6th Women+Film Festival. The Festival will take place at the Sie FilmCenter March 15 – 20 and all-access passes are on sale now.Inspired by the theme of International Women’s Day, which is celebrated globally every March, the Women+Film Festival showcases a high profile, women-centric mix of documentaries, feature presentations and short films. The festival also includes receptions, a special brunch and many in-person guests to highlight thought-provoking, inspirational stories of women from around the world.”We are extremely proud to continue bringing the best female-centric programming to the Sie FilmCenter,” says Brit Withey, Artistic Director of the Denver Film Society. “The Women+Film Festival has featured everything from politics to comic-strips; feasts to street fights and we are thrilled to highlight some of the most eclectic and diverse voices in film for a sixth year.”All-access Festival passes are on sale now. A complete Festival pass to the Women+Film Festival is $90 for DFS members and $100 for non-members. The pass includes all films, as well as access to receptions and special events. The Denver Film Society hosts Women+Film events throughout the year. Each event includes a screening of a film, post screening Q&A with a filmmaker and a reception. On February 24, Denver Film Society will screen the film The Armor of Light with writer/director Abby Disney Skyping in for a post- screening Q&A to kick off the Women+Film Festival and announce program details.

Individual tickets to Women+Film Festival will go on sale February 26 when the full schedule is announced.
