Please do not enter festival venues if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms or if you have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
All Denver Film Festival patrons, guests, media, sponsors, staff, and volunteers entering DFF44 venues or event host sites from November 3-14 will be required to show proof that they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with an FDA- or WHO-approved vaccine. “Fully vaccinated” is defined as two weeks after a person’s second dose in a two-dose series and two weeks after a single-dose series.
Children under the age of 12 must instead provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of a screening or event start time.
Verification Stations will be available at all venues and event host sites 90 minutes prior to a screening or event start time. You will need to bring one of the following and a photo ID to be verified:
📝 Physical vaccination card
🖺 Digital proof of vaccination card (photo or scan) that is clear and legible
Or, if under the age of 12: Negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of screening or event
Once verified, attendees will receive a durable wristband that can be worn throughout DFF44. If the wristband is lost or damaged, please visit a Verification Station to show proof according to the guidelines above, and you will receive a new wristband.
All guests (ages 2 and up) will be required to wear a face covering in indoor festival venues, except when actively eating and/or drinking, regardless of vaccination status. If you don’t have a mask, one will be provided for you.
Not feeling well but still want to attend? Check out our virtual programming for safe viewing at a distance.
🕗 Plan to arrive 60-90 minutes before your first screening or event start time to complete the verification process and receive your wristband.
You will need to show your wristband for entry into all DFF screenings and events through November 14.
Enhanced cleaning procedures — including regular sanitizing and disinfecting of high-touch surfaces, contact points, and guest areas — will be in place at venues throughout the event. Denver Film’s Sie FilmCenter is part of Denver’s 5 Star Certification Program, a program that supports responsible businesses who are going above and beyond to prioritize the health and safety of their staff and customers. In addition, Denver Film has earned the Aviriq IAQ Verification Certification recognizing that our indoor space has met an independent, science-based standard of best practices in indoor air quality.
These policies are in place to ensure that we can host in-person screenings and events for the Denver Film Festival, while prioritizing the health and safety of staff, filmmakers, volunteers, and audience members. However, these measures do not eliminate the inherent risk of potential exposure to COVID-19 in public spaces. By attending in-person events or screenings at any of our venues, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with exposure to COVID-19.
Denver Film will continue to update and revise its protocols as necessary and may change these protocols at any time to protect the health and safety of its audience members, guests, and staff in accordance with government guidelines and legal allowances.
