When is the Denver Film Festival?

The 47th Denver Film Festival begins Friday, November 1, 2024, and ends Sunday, November 10, 2024.

Where does the Denver Film Festival take place?

Screenings and events will take place at various venues, including the Sie FilmCenter, AMC 9 + CO 10, Ellie Caulkins Opera House, and Denver Botanic Gardens. Click here to learn more about venues.

How can I get involved?

The Denver Film Festival invites the entire community to celebrate film. Individual and group tickets can be purchased to screenings, parties, and other special events, but the best way to get involved is to become a member of Denver Film or to volunteer.

When is the schedule released?

The full schedule for the 47th Denver Film Festival will be released at 10:00 am, Tuesday, October 1, 2024, on our website. Tickets will be on sale to Denver Film members at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 3, 2024. Tickets will be on sale to the public beginning at 10:00 am, Friday, October 4, 2024.

Is there a physical festival guide?

We’re excited to introduce our new Pocket Schedule! This new guide is the best way to help you navigate the festival and easily check what’s playing that day. In an effort to increase sustainability, the program has been condensed a bit. In the Pocket Schedule, you will find information about venues, ticketing, lounges, and the full festival schedule. The new Pocket Schedule will be available at each venue starting November 1st.

What else do I need to know about the festival? 

Many festival screenings sell out. We recommend that tickets and packages be purchased in advance.

No refunds or exchanges will be made.

Ticket holders are guaranteed seats up to 10 minutes before the scheduled start of the screening. After this time, any remaining seats may be sold to patrons waiting in the standby ticket line.

All foreign language films will be shown in their original language with English subtitles.

Please note that many of the films do not carry an MPAA rating.

Recording devices are not permitted in the theaters.

All bags are subject to inspection. Those that are oversized may, at the discretion of management, be barred from the festival venue. The festival can not hold bags or other personal items while patrons are in the theater.

Please silence all electronic devices before showtime. Failure to do so may result in removal from the theater. 

Auditoriums must be cleared between screenings. Saving of seats is not permitted, so plan ahead and arrive early!
