As the home of the Denver Film Society, the Sie FilmCenter features the finest in independent and world cinema–from new limited releases to arthouse retrospectives–on a weekly-changing schedule that accommodates 600-plus titles per year. The Sie FilmCenter also regularly hosts festivals, program series, and other special events, bringing filmgoers and filmmakers together to celebrate the art of the motion pictures.

The Sie FilmCenter also features numerous series and symposia in partnership with over 100 local organizations—including Women+Film, Sci-Fi Film Series, and the LGBTQ-themed CinemaQ.

40th Denver Film Festival

After 39 years, the Denver Film Festival (DFF) remains the largest regional film festival in the Rocky Mountain region and is often named among the top festivals in the U.S. The DFF delivers a multitude of experiences—not only films, panels and industry one-on-ones but also receptions, hospitality lounges, and special events.

Summer 2017

Film on the Rocks

Film on the Rocks (FOTR) is the can’t-miss event of the summer in Denver. After 18 years, FOTR continues its sell-out tradition, showing cult and classic films to over 50,000 people under shining stars at the beautiful and iconic Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre. Guests are also treated to performances by outstanding musicians and the best local comedians.

Series

The Denver Film Society takes pride in continually presenting curated programming across a variety of genres and interests. We have a number of film series throughout the year including, Culinary Cinema, Sci-Fi Film Series, Family Programming, National Theatre Live, and more!

Mini-Fests

Each mini-fest is carefully planned to ensure a diversity of films as well as panels, lectures, and parties that complement its theme. Don’t miss such annual DFS mini-fests as CineLatino, CinemaQ, and Women+Film.
