Denver Film Festival Late Night Lounge Manager


Classification: Seasonal (Full Time: mid-to-late October – Mid November)

Salary Range: $2,750 to $3,250

Location: Sie FilmCenter – 2510 E. Colfax Ave., Denver, CO 80206

Position Summary: 

Denver Film seeks a Late Night Lounge Manager to oversee Late Night Lounge Operations for the Denver Film Festival (DFF), the largest premier film event in the Rocky Mountain region that happens across multiple venues over 10 days filled with films, red carpet events, panels, and special events. The Late Night Lounge plays a critical role in the experience of filmmakers and other guests


About Denver Film:

The first Denver International Film Festival was successfully launched in May 1978. Three years later, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Denver Film Society was created to expand opportunities to bring films to Denver that otherwise might not be shown and to celebrate and cultivate film as an art form.  Over the years the organization has grown into one the largest and most respected cultural institutions in the Rocky Mountain region. In 2019, the organization rebranded to Denver Film to build a more inclusive organization. What You’ll Do:

The Late Night Manager will manage the successful operations of the Late Night Lounge at the Sie FilmCenter during the 2025 Denver Film Festival. In addition to other duties as assigned, this position will be responsible for the following:

  • • Late Night Lounge Management
    • • Managing the Late Night Lounge for the duration of the festival, including load-in, setup, and strike
    • • Implementing festival procedures to oversee the Late Night Lounge
    • • Supervising Late Night Lounge volunteers to provide a fun experience for all festival attendees and guests
    • • Assisting in the scheduling of volunteers (if needed) for the duration of the festival
    • • Ensuring technical difficulties and other issues are addressed and resolved quickly
    • • Assisting the Production Department to ensuring all materials and equipment are inventoried, struck and stored post-festival
    • • Writing and delivering a comprehensive wrap report following the conclusion of the festival
  • Inter-Departmental Coordination
    • • Working cooperatively with all appropriate DFF departments including, but not limited to, Operations, Production & Events, and the Tech department to ensure the lines of communication are open, needs are clear, and plans are set
    • • Maintaining clear communications with other departments to resolve technical, operational, and other issues that may arise on site
    • • Performing additional duties as assigned
  • General
    • • Managing and working within the lounge budget
    • • Tracking all expenses with accuracy
    • • Working to support the festival overall and the needs of all departments
    • • Ensuring that Denver Film’s high festival standards and the expectations of guests are met before, during, and after the festival

  • • Able to climb up and down stairs; able to climb up and down ladders; able to kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, reach and carry; able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs., including up and down stairs
