Sie FilmCenter Box Officer


Classification: Hourly/Part Time  

Salary Range: $17.50/hour

Location: Sie FilmCenter – 2510 E. Colfax Ave., Denver, CO 80206

Reporting Structure: Reports to Box Office Manager, Sie FilmCenter House Managers

Currently, Denver Film does not require staff to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or face coverings within its building(s). However, Denver Film reserves the right to reinstate such requirements should public health agencies recommend or require it. Should such requirements be reinstated, Denver Film will engage in an interactive process to determine if a reasonable accommodation is available for those who cannot be vaccinated due to a disability or sincerely held religious belief.


Overview: 

Denver Film is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our team at the Sie FilmCenter. This position will be heavily involved in customer service, ticketing, and general concierge services for our guests. 


About Denver Film:

The first Denver International Film Festival was successfully launched in May 1978. Three years later, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Denver Film Society was created to expand opportunities to bring films to Denver that otherwise might not be shown, and to celebrate and cultivate film as an art form. Over the years the organization has grown into one the largest and most respected cultural institutions in the Rocky Mountain region. In 2019, the organization rebranded to Denver Film in an effort to build a more inclusive organization. This effort continues as we focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility across our wide array of year-round programs including Colorado Dragon Boat Film Festival, Women+Film Festival, CinemaQ Film Festival, CineLatinx Film Festival, Film on the Rocks, and the Denver Film Festival. What You’ll Do:

Box Office Staff provide every customer with an excellent experience over the phone, and in person. Box Officers are responsible for ticket, package, and pass sales, voucher redemption, membership sales, and information disbursement at the Sie FilmCenter, and occasional off-site work. 

. Responsibilities include:

• Provide excellent customer service and professional courtesy to internal and external customers. 

• Be aware of Denver Film membership benefits, policies and procedures.

• Sell tickets, gift certificates, memberships and passes. 

• Occasional ushering and scanning duties.

• Communicate facilities issues and customer concerns to the Box Office and Venue leadership team.

• Keep current on all current and upcoming Sie FilmCenter programming and events.

• Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service and communication skills, have a flexible availability, a passion for film, and a familiarity with computer and POS systems, printers, and scanners. You must be comfortable processing credit card and cash transactions, and maintaining a cash drawer.
