
Denver Film Festival Transportation Coordinator
Classification: Seasonal/Full Time: Early September – Mid November
Salary Range: $2,250 – $2,750
Location: Sie FilmCenter – 2510 E. Colfax Ave., Denver, CO 80206, on location as needed, and occasional remote work
Reporting Structure: Reports to Transportation Manager
Position Summary:
Denver Film seeks a seasonal, full-time Transportation Coordinator to assist the Transportation Department for the Denver Film Festival (DFF), the largest premier film event in the Rocky Mountain Region that happens across multiple venues over 10 days filled with films, red carpet events, panels, and special events. With more than 130 invited guests, jurors, and panelists, the Transportation Coordinator plays a critical role in the experience of filmmakers and other guests
About Denver Film:
The first Denver International Film Festival was successfully launched in May 1978. Three years later, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Denver Film Society was created to expand opportunities to bring films to Denver that otherwise might not be shown and to celebrate and cultivate film as an art form. Over the years the organization has grown into one the largest and most respected cultural institutions in the Rocky Mountain region. In 2019, the organization rebranded to Denver Film to build a more inclusive organization. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Transportation Coordinator will assist the Transportation Manager to run the transportation systems and needs for the 2025 Denver Film Festival, ensuring smooth transport of festival guests to and from the airport, hotels, and festival venues according to their itineraries. In addition to other duties as assigned, this position will be responsible for the following:
- • Transportation
- • Assisting in the evaluation of vehicle needs for the festival
- • Working with the DFF Transportation Manager to develop and execute a plan for the transportation headquarters, including determining necessary supplies
- • Assisting to secure parking meter permits in accordance with Festival program dates
- • Assisting in the coordination with the Volunteer Department to engage volunteer drivers
- • Assisting in the preparation and presentation of transportation needs, rules, procedures, and paperwork at dedicated volunteer meeting prior to the festival
- • Assisting in the identification of the need for codes for ride-sharing services to supplement other transportation services
- • Assisting in establishing a relationship with a gas station to streamline fuel needs
- • Assisting in the management of the Transportation hotline throughout the festival
- • Ensuring all data and materials are archived post-Festival
- • Writing and delivering a comprehensive wrap report following the conclusion of the Festival
- • Inter-Departmental Coordination
- • Interfacing with Programming, Transportation, Accounting, PR, and other DFF departments to assist in determining needs and protocols
- • Working cooperatively with all DFF departments including, but not limited to, Transportation, Programming, Publicity, and Operations to ensure the lines of communication are open, needs are clear, and plans are set

- • Tracking all expenses including Festival petty cash with accuracy
- • Working to support the Festival overall and the needs of all departments
- • Providing exceptional customer service to all stakeholders and guests
- • Ensuring that Denver Film’s high Festival standards and the expectations of guests are met before, during, and after the Festival
- • Performing additional duties as assigned
